Large as Life started in 2023 in Cortney’s living room in Rupert, Idaho. Cortney was originally inspired to create life-size animal puzzles while touring the U.S. National Parks. After joining together with Valerie and Dan, product development began in 2023. In 2024 we launched the original life-size trivia puzzle — the first of its kind — combining life-size puzzles and engaging trivia into a single integrative experience.
We are a family business committed to enriching the lives of our customers and the planet. As owners who are parents ourselves, we are dedicated to enhancing the intellectual play and growth of children by providing an innovative and interactive puzzle experience to people of all ages. Our two majority owners, Cortney & Valerie, are a professional educator and photographer by trade, which has profoundly shaped the philosophy and product development of our company.
From inception, we committed our company to improving the animal and human world. Before a single product was manufactured or sold, we pledged 1% of gross revenues to non-profit organizations focused on conservation and education, ultimately choosing to join 1% for the Planet®. We chose to manufacture our products within the United States. From these commitments sprang our primary company philosophy, “Puzzles for Our Planet.”
